Born on 20 April 2002, Saniya began her journey as a child artist and dancer, finishing as second runner-up on the reality show D2 – D4 Dance. She made her film debut as a child in the 2014 Malayalam movie Balyakalasakhi and appeared in Apothecary the same year.

Her breakthrough came with the lead role in Queen (2018), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South along with SIIMA recognition. She gained wider attention as Jhanvi in the blockbuster Lucifer (2019), winning a SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress. Other notable films include Pretham 2, The Priest, Salute, Saturday Night, her Tamil debut Irugapatru (2023), and Sorgavaasal (2024).

She reprised her role as Jhanvi in L2: Empuraan (2025). Upcoming projects include Varavu (2026) and the Tamil film Maddy. With her natural screen presence and growing versatility across Malayalam and Tamil cinema, Saniya continues to evolve as a promising young talent.
