Born on 28 April 1987, Samantha made her acting debut in 2010 with a cameo in the Tamil Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and the lead role of Jessie in its Telugu counterpart Ye Maaya Chesave, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.

She rose to stardom with hits like Dookudu, Eega, Attarintiki Daredi, Kaththi, Theri, 24, Mersal, Rangasthalam, Mahanati, Oh! Baby and Super Deluxe. She won multiple Filmfare Awards and expanded to Hindi with The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny.

Recent films include Yashoda, Kushi, Subham (as producer) and the successful Maa Inti Bangaaram (2026). Currently expecting her first child with husband Raj Nidimoru, she plans a maternity break before returning.
