Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s wedding on December 1, 2025, became a major talking point not just for the ceremony, but for the beautiful saree she chose for her special day. The wedding took place at the peaceful Linga Bhairavi Temple inside the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, where she married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in a quiet and traditional ceremony.

For her wedding, Samantha wore a custom-made red Banarasi saree created by designer Arpita Mehta. A day after Samantha posted her wedding pictures, Arpita shared new photos on Instagram by giving everyone a closer look at the saree’s fine work.

The saree may look simple at first glance, but it carries deep artistic value. It was woven using pure Katan satin silk, which gives the fabric both strength and a soft shine. The saree is decorated with small powder-zari motifs and a special border made with detailed cutwork. The finishing touches include beige-gold zardozi work using traditional materials such as saadi taar, cutdana, kasab thread, and tiny mirrors. All these elements together show the richness of Indian handcraft.

Arpita Mehta explained that making this saree was a very careful and emotional process. She shared that the saree was woven by a single expert weaver over almost three weeks. The goal was to create something that felt pure, meaningful and close to Indian culture. According to her, Samantha’s bridal look was designed to be simple but full of depth, keeping both spirituality and elegance in mind.

The wedding blouse also has a special meaning. It carries an artwork designed by artist Jayati Bose, inspired by nature and the blessings of the goddess. This design adds another layer of symbolism to Samantha’s bridal attire.
