Rukmini Vasanth is fast becoming one of the most admired actresses in South Indian cinema. Her latest Instagram picture shows her in a brown halter dress with silver bangles and long earrings.

Beyond her glamorous side, Rukmini is also known for her thoughtful choices in films. At the India Today South Conclave 2025, she spoke about her journey and future in the Kannada film industry. She shared that she measures her career not by stardom but by the quality of roles she gets. According to her, it is more important to choose meaningful work than to chase labels like “pan-India star.”

Rukmini’s career took a turning point with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which gave her recognition as a strong performer. She revealed that she got the role by directly messaging the director on social media, which changed her life. The film gave her the chance to play a character full of depth and emotions, something she had always wanted.

She is now working on exciting projects like Kantara: Chapter 1 with Rishab Shetty and Toxic with Yash. She admires both stars, praising Yash for his big vision and Rishab Shetty for keeping culture alive in cinema.

Rukmini also believes that Kannada cinema is enjoying a global moment after the success of films like KGF and Kantara. She feels this is the best time to be part of the industry.
