Born in 1996 in Bengaluru, Rukmini made her debut in the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy (2019). She achieved breakthrough success with the two-part Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (2023) opposite Rakshit Shetty, earning the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada. Subsequent roles in Bagheera, Bhairathi Ranagal, Telugu debut Appudo Ippudo Eppudo, Tamil films Ace and Madharaasi, and Kantara: Chapter 1 (2025) as Kanakavathi solidified her rise.

She is currently promoting Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups (2026) as Mellisa opposite Yash. Upcoming projects include Dragon with Jr NTR and her Malayalam debut NP51 with Nivin Pauly.
