Born on March 10, 1990, in Hyderabad, Ritu Varma began her acting journey with short films and made her Telugu film debut with a supporting role in Baadshah (2013). She got her first lead role in Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013) and shot to fame with the critically acclaimed romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu (2016), winning the Nandi Award and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.

Ritu currently has exciting projects in her kitty including Dhruva Natchathiram opposite Vikram, Gopichand 33, and other pan-Indian films. Known for her selective film choices and natural acting, she continues to be one of the most respected and versatile actresses in Telugu and Tamil cinema.
