Born on March 10, 1990, in Hyderabad, Ritu Varma began her career with short films, notably winning acclaim for Anukokunda. She made her feature film debut in a supporting role in Baadshah (2013) and took the lead in Prema Ishq Kaadhal the same year. Her breakthrough came with the 2016 Telugu romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu, opposite Vijay Deverakonda, earning her the Nandi Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Telugu.

Varma has built a strong career across Telugu and Tamil cinema with notable performances in Yevade Subramanyam (2015), Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020) opposite Dulquer Salmaan, Oke Oka Jeevitham (2022), and Mark Antony (2023). Known for her natural acting and relatable roles, she balances commercial and meaningful stories.

Currently, she has exciting projects lined up, including Swag (where she plays Queen Rukmini Devi), Mazaka (2025), Dhruva Natchathiram, and Bharata Varsha: Saga of Shula. Her journey from engineering graduate to acclaimed actress continues to inspire.
