Ramya Krishnan began her acting career as a teenager in the mid-1980s, making her Tamil debut with Vellai Manasu (1985) and Telugu debut with Bhale Mithrulu (1986). She rose to stardom in the 1990s with hits across languages and later delivered iconic performances as Sivagami in the Baahubali films (2015 & 2017). Recent notable roles include Super Deluxe (2019), Jailer (2023) opposite Rajinikanth, Liger (2022), and Jaat (2025).

Upcoming projects include Jailer 2 (2026) and other multi-language ventures, continuing her remarkable four-decade journey as one of Indian cinema’s most versatile actresses.
