Rakul Preet Singh at the Elle India Awards

Rakul Preet Singh never go out of style. She recently attended the Elle India Awards, where she looked dazzling in a sparkling black gown that beautifully reflected her vibrant personality.

Her dress with shimmering silver stones, made her stand out on the red carpet. Sharing pictures from the night on Instagram, Rakul wrote, “When in doubt, sparkle it out.” She thanked Elle India for honoring her with the #EllePurePresence award, adding that to her, “pure presence means being your real self always.”

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Rakul spoke about how she chooses her movie roles. She said she doesn’t follow any fixed formula when picking a project. Sometimes it’s the story, sometimes the director, or even a single line that touches her heart. What matters most to her is whether she feels connected to the script and whether the character helps her grow as an artist. She believes that each film should bring new learning and emotional depth.

Rakul also revealed that she went through a difficult time after suffering a serious back injury caused by an 80 kg deadlift. The injury gave her an important life lesson—to listen to her body and not push beyond limits. She shared that slowing down was tough for her because she’s used to a busy lifestyle, but the recovery phase made her realize that health must always come first. It also reminded her that taking a break is not a weakness but a form of strength.

On the professional front, Rakul is currently working on several big projects. One of the most awaited among them is De De Pyaar De 2, where she reunites with Ajay Devgn. She will also be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, Ameeri, and a project related to Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
