Born on October 5, 1989, in Visakhapatnam and raised in Chennai, Pujita Ponnada began her professional life as a software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services before transitioning to acting through short films.

She made her feature film debut in the 2016 bilingual Oopiri (Tamil: Thozha). Her breakthrough came with Sukumar’s critically acclaimed Rangasthalam (2018), where she played Padma opposite Ram Charan. She followed it with notable performances in Kalki (2019), the lead role in Run (2020), Aakasa Veedhullo (2022), Ravanasura (2023), and Jorugaa Husharugaa (2023).

Expanding into Tamil cinema, she starred in Jolly O Gymkhana (2024), Desingu Raja 2, Padaiyaanda Maaveeraa, and Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal (all 2025), along with a cameo in Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Ongoing projects include the Tamil film Bagavan (2026) and several other Telugu and Tamil ventures currently in various stages of production, continuing her steady rise as a versatile actress.
