Pujita Ponnada worked as a software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services. She completed her graduation from SRM University. Even though she had a stable career in the IT field, she followed her passion for acting. She started her journey with short films, where she slowly gained attention for her screen presence and natural acting style. Later, she moved into feature films and began building her career in Telugu cinema.

She appeared in several well-known films over the years. Some of her notable movies include Oopiri in 2016, Darshakudu in 2017, Happy Wedding in 2018, Brand Babu in 2018, and Ravanasura in 2023. She also gained recognition for her roles in big Telugu productions like Rangasthalam in 2018 and Kalki in 2019.

In recent years, Pujita has expanded her work into the Tamil film industry. Her projects inckxue Jolly O Gymkhana in 2024, Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal in 2025.
