She made her much-awaited film debut in 2024 with Kiran Rao’s critically acclaimed comedy-drama Laapataa Ladies (also known as Lost Ladies), produced by Aamir Khan. Playing the dual role of Jaya and Pushpa, her sincere and layered performance earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female, marking a powerful breakthrough.

She also appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024) in the role of Shama.

Pratibha is now gearing up for her next big project, the Netflix film Accused (releasing February 27, 2026), where she plays Dr. Meera Mishra opposite Konkona Sen Sharma. She is also part of the much-talked-about series The Revolutionaries.

With her strong acting chops, graceful screen presence, and intelligent choice of roles, Pratibha Ranta is steadily emerging as one of Bollywood’s most promising young talents.
