Born on December 5, 1992, in Delhi, Payal Rajput began her career with television shows before making her film debut in 2017 with the Punjabi movie Channa Mereya, a remake of the Marathi hit Sairat. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Punjabi Award for Best Debut Actress. She gained massive popularity in Telugu cinema with her bold role in RX 100 (2018), which became a major turning point.

She has since delivered strong performances in films like Venky Mama, Shava Ni Girdhari Lal, Head Bush, Ginna, and the critically acclaimed horror thriller Mangalavaaram (2023), where she played Sailaja.

As of April 2026, Payal has an exciting lineup. Her Tamil film Leader, in which she plays Meera, is set for release in early 2026. She also has Golmaal (Tamil comedy, May 2026), Kirathaka (Telugu, December 2026), and other projects including The Great Punjab Robbery (Punjabi) and the intense drama Venkatalachimi in the pipeline.
