By: Tupaki Gallery Desk | 19 Jun 2026 4:50 PM ISTAndhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest & Environment Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu launched two significant green initiatives.
He performed the Bhumi Puja for Aranyaramam, a ₹24 crore state-of-the-art research, training, and monitoring centre to be built near AIIMS in Mangalagiri. This centre will serve as a Common Facility Centre for the Forest and Environment Departments. It will act as the command centre for H.A.N.U.M.A.N. Foundation activities, Andhra Pradesh Great Green Wall programme, tiger conservation, forest fire prevention, ecosystem restoration, eco-tourism, and digital environmental governance.
Later, Pawan Kalyan planted a sacred banyan sapling to launch Nandana Vanam — a major ecological restoration project in a region severely degraded by illegal mining since 2013. This initiative aims to restore greenery and revive the natural ecosystem in the mined-out areas, turning them into a lush forest once again.
He stated that Nandana Vanam is part of the broader vision to enhance greenery across the state and ensure a clean and sustainable environment for future generations.
Pawan Kalyan also reviewed the H.A.N.U.M.A.N. gallery highlighting 185 wildlife rescues and 36 human-wildlife conflict mitigation programmes carried out by the Forest Department in 2024.
