Away from social media, Nushrratt has been making headlines for her honest views on the current state of Hindi cinema. In a recent interview, she spoke about the post-pandemic slump in Bollywood. She said that the film industry is still trying to recover from the tough period that followed the pandemic. According to her, audiences have changed, but many filmmakers still don’t understand what viewers really want. She believes that there is a growing gap between what is being made and what audiences are looking for.
Nushrratt also shared that the rise of social media has added new pressure on both actors and filmmakers. During lockdowns, everyone turned to social media, and it created a kind of false picture of success. She said that many creators now choose safe stories rather than new or bold ideas, which makes cinema feel repetitive.
Also she is soon to be seen in Chhorii 2. The film Chhorii 2 is the sequel to the 2021 Hindi horror movie Chhorii. It is directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Jack Davis. The movie was released on Amazon Prime Video on April 11, 2025 and continues the story of Sakshi, played by Nushrratt Bharuccha.
In this new chapter, several years have passed since the events of the first film. Sakshi now lives with her young daughter, Ishani, but peace does not last long. Strange events begin again, and she has to face both her inner fears and an outside threat. The movie introduces a new and powerful character, Daasi Maa, played by Soha Ali Khan, who becomes the main source of terror.
Apart from her films, Nushrratt has also been active in promoting sustainable fashion. At Lakme Fashion Week 2025, she spoke about the importance of reusing and recycling clothes instead of constant buying. She believes fashion should express personality, not waste.
