While Neha Sharma’s Instagram post reflects peace and softness, her family has recently faced an important political development. Her father, Ajeet Sharma, a senior Congress leader and a three-time MLA, contested the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 from the Bhagalpur constituency. This election turned out to be a tough one for him.

According to the Election Commission’s official data, BJP candidate Rohit Pandey won the seat by securing 1,00,770 votes. Ajeet Sharma received 87,296 votes, which resulted in a defeat margin of 13,474 votes. The contest remained close during the early counting rounds. After 14 rounds, Ajeet Sharma was trailing by 653 votes. Later, after the 16th round, he briefly took the lead with 4,217 votes. However, in the final rounds, Rohit Pandey moved ahead and secured the win.

The Jan Suraj Party, backed by Prashant Kishor, also contested the seat. Their candidate, Abhay Kant Jha, finished third with 3,251 votes, far behind the two main contenders.

Neha Sharma actively supported her father during the campaign. She visited Bhagalpur and was seen seeking votes for him. She also accompanied Ajeet Sharma during a roadshow held on November 9, showing strong family support during the election period.
