Neha Bhasin is one of the well-known voices in the Indian music industry. She was born on 18 November 1982 in Delhi, India. Over the years, she has built a strong career as a playback singer, pop performer, and songwriter. She has sung songs for films in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Apart from film music, she is also known for her independent songs, especially in Indian pop and Punjabi folk music.

Her journey in music started at a very young age. When she was only nine years old, she won her first singing competition after performing the song “Hero” by Mariah Carey. From childhood, Neha dreamed of becoming a pop star. She also learned different dance forms at Shiamak Davar’s dance academy and trained in classical music under Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. This strong training helped her build a solid foundation in music and performance.

Neha first became famous when she participated in Channel V’s Coke V Popstars talent hunt. She was selected as a member of Viva, India’s first all-girl pop group. The group became very popular, and Neha gained recognition as a young singer. After the group separated in 2004, she continued her career independently and started singing for films.

One of her early breakthroughs in Bollywood came with the song “Kuch Khaas Hai” in 2007. The song brought her a nomination at the Filmfare Awards. Over the years, she has received seven Filmfare nominations and has won two Filmfare Awards for the songs “Jag Ghoomeya” in Hindi and “Paani Ravi Da” in Punjabi.

In her personal life, Neha Bhasin married music composer Sameer Uddin in 2016 in a wedding ceremony held in Tuscany, Italy.
