Born Diana Mariam Kurian on November 18, 1984, in Bangalore, Nayanthara made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Manassinakkare (2003). She quickly became a sought-after star in Malayalam cinema before expanding into Tamil with Ayya (2005) and Telugu with Lakshmi (2006). Over two decades, she has delivered powerful performances in landmark films like Chandramukhi, Billa, Sri Rama Rajyam, Thani Oruvan, Aramm, Kolamaavu Kokila, Viswasam, and Bigil, earning the title “Lady Superstar.”
