Born on 11 February 1989 in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, Mimi first gained fame on television as “Pupe” in the popular serial Gaaner Oparey (2010). She made her big-screen debut in 2012 with Bapi Bari Jaa, playing the lead role of Dola. She quickly became one of Tollywood’s most loved actresses with hits like Bojhena Shey Bojhena (2012), Posto (2017), Gangster, and Dracula Sir. She also ventured into Bollywood with the 2023 film Shastry Virudh Shastry.

Mimi has successfully balanced commercial entertainers and meaningful roles. Her recent and upcoming projects include the web series Dainee (2025), Raktabeej 2 (2025), the horror-comedy Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel (2026), and the ambitious Emperor vs Sarat Chandra currently in filming.
