Born on August 1, 1998, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Medha Shankr is a trained Hindustani classical singer with a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from NIFT Delhi. She made her acting debut in the British miniseries Beecham House (2019) as Roshanara. Her Hindi film debut came with Shaadisthan (2021), followed by roles in Dil Bekaraar and Max, Min and Meowzaki (2022).
Her breakthrough arrived with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail (2023), where she portrayed Shraddha Joshi opposite Vikrant Massey. The critically acclaimed biographical drama earned her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. She also lent her voice to the song “Bolo Na.”
Medha is set to showcase her versatility in upcoming projects, including the much-awaited romantic comedy Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 (2026) alongside Avinash Tiwary, where she plays Geetanjali “Ginny” Goenka. She has also completed an untitled detective comedy and other films in the pipeline.
With her sincerity, classical training, and strong screen presence, Medha Shankr is carving a promising path in Indian cinema.
