Malavika Mohanan shares a serene and radiant selfie from her stay in Java, Indonesia, looking effortlessly elegant in a white striped top with delicate gold earrings. She captioned the post: “Postcards from Java ”, adding, “@amanjiwoyou were nothing short of magical. One of the most surreal, magnetic and otherworldly places I’ve ever lived at. @luxetrot.”

Born on 4 August 1993 in Kerala, Malavika is the daughter of renowned cinematographer K.U. Mohanan. She made her acting debut in the 2013 Malayalam film Pattam Pole. Her breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed Hindi film Beyond the Clouds (2017), directed by Majid Majidi, which earned her international recognition.

She has since delivered strong performances in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, notably in Petta (2019) opposite Rajinikanth, Master (2021) with Vijay, Thangalaan (2024) with Vikram, and the 2025 Malayalam hit Hridayapoorvam opposite Mohanlal, where her role was widely praised.

In 2026, Malavika made her much-awaited Telugu debut with the horror-comedy The Raja Saab opposite Prabhas, released on January 9. She is currently filming the high-octane Tamil sequel Sardar 2 with Karthi and is part of the ensemble cast in the thriller Pocket Novel, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja and starring Vijay Sethupathi. She also has upcoming Malayalam projects including Pathimoonnam Rathri and Once Upon a Time in Kochi.

With her graceful screen presence, versatility across languages, and selective choice of roles, Malavika Mohanan continues to establish herself as a promising pan-Indian actress.
