Born on August 4, 1993, in Mumbai to cinematographer K.U. Mohanan, Malavika made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Pattam Pole (2013) opposite Dulquer Salmaan. She gained widespread acclaim for her powerful performance in Majid Majidi’s Hindi film Beyond the Clouds (2017). Her career blossomed with notable roles in Petta (2019) alongside Rajinikanth, Master (2021) with Vijay, Thangalaan (2024), and the Malayalam hit Hridayapoorvam (2025) with Mohanlal.

Malavika has successfully worked across Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu cinema, showcasing her range in commercial entertainers and intense dramas. She made her Telugu debut with Prabhas in the horror-comedy The Raja Saab (released January 2026).
