Born on August 4, 1993, and daughter of cinematographer K. U. Mohanan, Malavika primarily works in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, with ventures into Hindi and Telugu. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Pattam Pole (2013) as Riya. Early roles followed in Nirnayakam (2015) and Kannada’s Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi (2016).

Her breakthrough came with Majid Majidi’s Hindi film Beyond the Clouds (2017) as Tara. She gained wider recognition in Petta (2019) opposite Rajinikanth and the blockbuster Master (2021) with Vijay as Charulatha. Later films include Maaran (2022), Christy (2023), Thangalaan (2024) with Vikram, Yudhra (2024), and Hridayapoorvam (2025) opposite Mohanlal.

Her Recent Films and Ongoing projects her Telugu debut in The RajaSaab (2026) with Prabhas, Sardar 2 with Karthi, and Pocket Novel. Malavika continues to build a versatile pan-Indian career.
