Born on August 4, 1993, in Kannur, Kerala, and daughter of cinematographer K.U. Mohanan, Malavika made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Pattam Pole (2013) opposite Dulquer Salmaan. She gained wider acclaim with Majid Majidi’s Hindi film Beyond the Clouds (2017) and memorable roles in Petta (2019) with Rajinikanth, Master (2021) with Vijay, and Thangalaan (2024). Her recent performance as Haritha in Hridayapoorvam (2025) opposite Mohanlal earned critical praise and strong box-office success.

Currently, she is balancing diverse projects, including her Telugu debut The RajaSaab (horror-comedy with Prabhas, releasing January 2026) as Bhairavi, the Tamil action sequel Sardar 2 with Karthi, and Pocket Novel.
