Krithi Shetty made her debut as a lead actress at the age of 17. She starred in the Telugu film Uppena directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Uppena turned into a blockbuster and earned over ₹100 crore. Critics praised her performance. Later, she acted opposite Nani in Shyam Singha Roy. The film gained success and crossed ₹60 crore. She then starred in Bangarraju opposite Naga Chaitanya. That film too performed well at the box office.

However, Krithi faced setbacks with films like The Warriorr, Macherla Niyojakavargam, and Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali. These films did not do well at the box office. In 2023, she entered Tamil cinema with Custody directed by Venkat Prabhu, alongside Naga Chaitanya. The film opened to mixed reviews. In 2024, she starred in Manamey with Sharwanand. Krithi will soon be seen in Genie, a Tamil fantasy comedy directed by Arjunan Jr. The film also stars Ravi Mohan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
