Kalyani Priyadarshan, the poised and elegant actress seen glowing in these sophisticated green ensemble photos, has emerged as one of the most versatile talents in South Indian cinema. Born on April 5, 1993, in Chennai, she is the daughter of renowned director Priyadarshan and actress Lissy. With a graceful screen presence and natural acting ability, Kalyani has successfully balanced roles across Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil industries.

She made her acting debut in 2017 with the Telugu film Hello opposite Akhil Akkineni, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her charming performance. Her Malayalam debut came with Varane Avashyamund (2020), winning her the SIIMA Best Female Debut award. Kalyani gained wider recognition with films like Chitralahari (2019), Maanaadu (2021), Hridayam (2022), Bro Daddy (2022), and Thallumaala (2022).

In 2025, she delivered a career-defining blockbuster with Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, playing India's first female superhero Chandra. The film became the highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever, crossing ₹300 crore worldwide and establishing her as a pan-Indian star.

Currently, Kalyani has several exciting projects lined up. She is filming a women-centric Tamil film (tentatively Production 7) directed by Thiraviyam SN. Her upcoming releases include the Tamil films Genie (opposite Ravi Mohan), Vaan, and Marshal. She has also confirmed her return for Lokah Chapter 2, with shooting beginning in September 2026. Reports suggest she may make her Bollywood debut in the zombie thriller Pralay opposite Ranveer Singh.

With her growing popularity and strong lineup, Kalyani Priyadarshan is steadily expanding her footprint in Indian cinema.
