Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan recently shared a striking black-and-white photograph on her Instagram profile. In the picture, she is seen standing calmly in a dark dress, looking straight at the camera. The caption she added to the post is just two words: “same person.”

Meanwhile the actress was recently seen in blockbuster film Lokah. Recently Kalyani Priyadarshan has spoken honestly about the fear and self-doubt she faced while working on Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, even though the film later became a huge success. In a recent interview, Kalyani said that during the early days of shooting, she truly believed she was not good enough for the role.

The actress revealed that just one week into the shoot, she felt overwhelmed by the character of Chandra. She admitted, "I told him that I might end up being the worst thing about the film. I was sure that I didn’t have what it takes." Kalyani shared that she even called the film’s producer Dulquer Salmaan to express her worries. According to her, she felt she was taking too long to understand the character and feared she was holding the film back.

Kalyani also said she was scared that the audience would misunderstand Chandra’s quiet personality. She explained, "As Indians, we are used to seeing stone-cold men on screen. We rarely come across that in women. I was afraid that people might not understand Chandra." This fear stayed with her for a long time during filming.

However, once the film was released, all her doubts slowly disappeared. Audiences and critics praised her controlled and subtle acting.
