Jyoti Poorvaj's Beach Look Sets Social Media Buzzing

Born Jayashree Rai on 4 July (sources vary between 1985–1994) in Madikeri, Karnataka, Jyoti Poorvaj (also known as Jyothi Rai) began her career in Kannada television. She gained early recognition in serials like Jogula, Kinnari, and Mooru Gantu. Her breakthrough came with the popular Telugu soap Guppedantha Manasu, where she played the powerful Jagati and became a household name.

She made her film debut in the 2017 Tulu drama Madipu. Subsequent roles followed in Kannada films such as Dia (2020), 99, Gandada Kudi, Jersey Number 10 (2023), and others including Tulu projects like Magane Mahisha.

Currently in an exciting phase, she is starring in the multilingual sci-fi action thriller Killer (also called KillR or Killer: Dream Girl), directed by her husband Suku Poorvaj, where she plays multiple challenging roles. She is also attached to the pan-India superhero film Masterpiece and the Kannada project Halka Don.

With her transition from television to films, Jyoti Poorvaj continues to expand her presence across South Indian cinema.
