Jyoti Poorvaj, the popular Kannada and Telugu actress, recently turned heads with a vibrant new photograph. Born in 1984 in Madikeri, Karnataka, Jyoti began her career in television and became a household name with popular serials such as Kinnari, Mooru Gantu, Jogula, and the long-running Telugu daily soap Guppedantha Manasu (as Jagati), where her emotional performances won her immense popularity.

She made her film debut in 2017 with the Tulu drama Madipu. She has since built a steady presence in Kannada cinema with roles in films like Supplier Shankara, Dia (2020), Jersey Number 10 (2023), Sitarama Kalyana, Gandhada Gudi, and 99. She has also appeared in Telugu projects including Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam and KA.

As of April 2026, Jyoti is in an exciting phase with high-profile projects. She is headlining the much-awaited sci-fi action thriller Killer (also known as KillR or Killer: Dream Girl), directed by Suku Poorvaj. In this women-centric film, she plays multiple intriguing characters including a vampire, terrorist, spy, and more. The teaser has generated strong buzz, with a planned summer 2026 release. She is also associated with upcoming films like Halka Don and A Masterpiece.

With her successful transition from television to big-screen roles and her bold new avatar in high-concept projects, Jyoti Poorvaj continues to carve a dynamic space in South Indian cinema.
