Recently, the young star shared a beautiful post on Instagram that quickly caught the attention of fans. The photos were taken during the Naman Awards, an event where the Board of Control for Cricket in India honors outstanding performances in the sport.
In the pictures, Jemimah is seen wearing a graceful black saree with elegant embroidery. The dress gives her a classic and traditional look. Along with the photos, she wrote a playful caption in Marathi: “Kitiiii changla diste hi porgi sadi madhey na? #NamanAwards.” The sentence loosely means, “Doesn’t this girl look so good in a saree?”
Jemimah also credited the creative team behind her look in the caption. She mentioned that the saree was from ekayabanaras, mahesh_notandass, and houseofprisca_. The styling was done by monica_nim, while the makeup was handled by getgorgeouswithridhii. Her hairstyle was created by annette.lepcha, and the photos were captured by sportsphotographyinindia.
Jemimah’s cricket journey began at a very young age, and she quickly rose through the ranks with impressive performances. One of her early milestones came in 2017, when she scored a remarkable 202 runs in a domestic 50-over match against Saurashtra. This made her only the second Indian woman after Smriti Mandhana to achieve a double century in that format.
Over the years, she has become an important player for the Indian national team. As of March 2026, Jemimah has played 4 Test matches, scoring 301 runs with an average of 50.17. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), she has appeared in 62 matches and scored 1,810 runs, including three centuries. In T20 Internationals, she has played 118 matches and scored 2,551 runs, proving her consistency in the shorter format of the game.
One of the biggest moments of her career came during the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Jemimah played a crucial role in India’s historic victory. In the semi-final against Australia, she scored an unforgettable 127 not out from 134 balls, helping India chase a massive target of 339 runs. That innings is still remembered as one of the greatest World Cup performances by an Indian player.
Her leadership skills have also been recognized. In 2026, she was appointed captain of the Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League, replacing Meg Lanning. Recently, she also signed with Southern Brave for the 2026 season of The Hundred in England, showing her growing reputation in global cricket leagues.
