Janhvi Kapoor in floral saree promotes Param Sundari

Janhvi Kapoor shared a new post on Instagram. She wore a bright floral saree and smiled while holding a white flower close to her face. Her long hair framed her face as she posed against a blue backdrop. The picture reflected her charm and happiness.

She wrote in her caption, “Sundariiiii aap sab ka pyaar dekh ke aur bhi khil rahi hain ❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸🌺🌺” and added “#ParamSundari in theatres 29th August ❤️🥰💕.”

Earlier this week, the makers of Param Sundari released its trailer. The movie stars Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. The trailer presented them as a fresh pair. Their chemistry looked light and fun. The romance had touches of comedy. Some fans even compared it with Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express (2013). Many enjoyed Janhvi’s role. Some, however, questioned her Malayali accent.

Malayali actor Pavithra Menon also reacted. She shared a video and said, “I'm a Malayali and I watched the trailer of Param Sundari, and want to really address this — what's the problem in hiring a proper Malayali actor? Hum kum talented hote hain kya? Mohiniyattam hi kar rahi hoti hai. Aisa nahi hota Kerala mein bhai. Jaise ki main baat kar rahi hun, Hindi mein. I can also speak Malayalam really well.” She added, “I mean, is it so hard to find a Malayali to play the role in a Hindi movie?”

In the film, Janhvi plays Sundari, a girl from Kerala. Sidharth Malhotra plays Param, a boy from Delhi. The film will arrive in theatres on August 29.
