Janhvi Kapoor’s Dress is Straight Out of a Dream

Janhvi Kapoor shared a new post on Instagram. She wore a royal blue saree with a gold border. The rich embroidery added depth to her traditional look. She paired it with a black blouse. Heavy jewelry completed her style.

She wrote the caption, “#Homebound releases in theatres on the 26th of September. 🖌️💙🟦.” The caption confirmed the release date of her upcoming film.

Janhvi Kapoor (born 6 March 1997) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi and Telugu films. She is the daughter of actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. She made her acting debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Dhadak. The film was a commercial success.

Her later theatrical releases did not perform well at the box office. Still, she earned recognition for her roles. She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020). She also played a young woman trapped in a freezer in Mili (2022). In 2024, she appeared in the Telugu action drama Devara: Part 1. That film became the highest-grossing one of her career.

She will soon be seen in Homebound. The 2025 Hindi-language drama is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. It is based on a New York Times article by Basharat Peer from 2020. The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. It tells the story of two childhood friends who try to pass the national police exam. The film is set for release on 26th September.
