Born on 12 October 1990 in New Delhi to a family of doctors, Harshita is an engineering graduate from Amity University and a trained Kathak dancer. She began as a model before making her television debut as the lead Sanyukta Agarwal in the youth drama Sadda Haq (2013–2016).

She gained widespread recognition for her role as Dimpy Pandit in the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur (2018–present, across three seasons). Other notable web series include Sacred Games Season 2, Puncch Beat, Jehanabad – Of Love & War (2023), and Agra Affair (2025).

Her film credits feature the Telugu movie Falaknuma Das (2019) and Kanpuriye (2019). She is set to reprise Dimpy in Mirzapur: The Movie (2026) and has recently stepped into production with a short film. Harshita continues to impress with her versatile performances across television, OTT, and cinema.
