Born on January 11, 1992, Fatima began her acting journey as a child artist. She made her film debut in 1997 with Chachi 420, playing Bharti alongside Kamal Haasan. She appeared in films like One 2 Ka 4 (2001) and Tahaan (2008) during her early years.

Her breakthrough came in 2016 with Dangal, where she delivered a powerful performance as wrestler Geeta Phogat opposite Aamir Khan. The film became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films ever, catapulting her to stardom. She followed with notable roles in Ludo (2020), Ajeeb Daastaans (2021), Thar (2022), and Sam Bahadur (2023), where she portrayed Indira Gandhi.

In 2025, she impressed audiences in Metro... In Dino, Aap Jaisa Koi opposite R. Madhavan, and Gustaakh Ishq. Her upcoming projects include Nyaya and the series Teen Kauwe, highlighting her continued rise in diverse, challenging roles.
