Chitrangada made her acting debut in Sudhir Mishra’s critically acclaimed Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2005), winning the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Female Debut. She went on to deliver notable performances in Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011), Desi Boyz, I Me Aur Main (2013), Baazaar (2018), Bob Biswas (2021) and Gaslight (2023).

She also turned producer with the sports biopic Soorma (2018). Recent work includes Housefull 5, the Netflix film Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders and the series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (all 2025).

Her upcoming project is the war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace opposite Salman Khan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. With a selective yet impactful filmography, Chitrangada continues to shine as a versatile actress and producer.
