Born on 16 June 1986 in Razole, Andhra Pradesh, Anjali began her career with modelling before entering films. She made her acting debut with the Telugu thriller Photo (2006). Her breakthrough came with the Tamil film Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), which earned her widespread acclaim and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Anjali has since established herself as one of the finest performers in South Indian cinema. She won multiple Filmfare Awards for films like Angaadi Theru (2010) and Engaeyum Eppothum (2011). Her notable works include Geethanjali, Vakeel Saab, Gangs of Godavari (2024), and Game Changer (2025).

Currently, she has several exciting projects lined up including Madha Gaja Raja, Paranthu Po, Eegai (her 50th film), Magudam, and a female-centric film, proving her continued prominence in Tamil and Telugu cinema.
