Actress Anikha Surendran recently shared a lovely post on Instagram that caught everyone’s attention. She posted a photo of herself standing in front of a charming old building, looking relaxed and happy. Dressed in a bright orange sleeveless top and a long white skirt, Anikha looked elegant and free-spirited. With a small smile, she posed gracefully, holding her bag and scarf in one hand. Her caption read, “love a beachside town 🧡”

She started as a child artist, appearing alongside stars like Ajith Kumar in Yennai Arindhaal and Viswasam. Over the years, she has grown into one of the most promising young talents in South Indian cinema, working in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films.

In a recent interview, Anikha opened up about her experiences in the industry. She said that each film industry has its own rhythm and style. “The Malayalam industry works very fast, while Tamil and Telugu sets are more relaxed,” she shared with a laugh, adding that people in the Malayalam industry treat her like a child, while in Tamil and Telugu, they now call her “ma’am.”

Speaking about dealing with criticism, Anikha shared a mature perspective. She said, “Whenever I receive negative feedback, I take it as constructive criticism. It helps me learn and grow.” She also mentioned that every role teaches her something new, even if it brings challenges.

Anikha recently worked under Dhanush’s direction in the film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK). She described the experience as “crazy and educational,” saying that Dhanush’s dedication and perfection inspired her deeply. “He would act out scenes for us, and we would follow his example. It was very different from my earlier projects,” she recalled.

Looking back at her journey, Anikha says Viswasam remains a turning point in her career. “It gave me visibility not just in Tamil but also in Kannada and Telugu industries,” she said.
