Anasuya's Saree Look Turns Heads at Store Launch

Television anchor and actress Anasuya Bharadwaj recently shared a new post on her Instagram which quickly caught the attention of fans and social media users. The picture was posted during the grand launch of the 39th store of southindiashopping in Parvatipuram. Along with the photo, Anasuya wrote a thoughtful caption about self-confidence, truth, and women standing strong in their own identity. She described a woman as someone who is rare and beautiful when she lives honestly and lights the way for others.

While the post looked graceful, it arrived at a time when Anasuya is facing heavy criticism online. The issue started with comments made by actor Shivaji during the pre-release event of the film Dandora. He spoke about how heroines should dress in public, which led to strong reactions. Anasuya responded on Instagram by saying that her body and clothing choices are her personal matter. Her response became viral and created mixed reactions.

The situation became more serious when senior actress Raashi reacted to an old comment made on the comedy show Jabardasth. During the show, Anasuya was involved in a joke that included the phrase “Raashi gari phalaalu.” Raashi felt that the comment was inappropriate and amounted to body shaming. She questioned how a woman anchor could allow or repeat such words on television. Raashi also expressed disappointment over judge Roja laughing at the joke instead of stopping it.

Raashi clearly said that comedy should not cross limits and that no one has the right to make personal or body-related comments, even in the name of humor. She stated that if she had been present on the spot, she would have stopped the show immediately.

Netizens also pointed out that Anasuya had earlier opposed certain film dialogues, saying they were problematic, and questioned why similar standards were not applied to television shows. Old clips from Jabardasth were reshared online, adding fuel to the controversy.
