Born Aalia Furniturewalla on November 28, 1997, Alaya is the daughter of actress Pooja Bedi. She made her acting debut in 2020 with the comedy-drama Jawaani Jaaneman opposite Saif Ali Khan, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her refreshing performance.

She proved her versatility with a intense role in the psychological thriller Freddy (2022) opposite Kartik Aaryan, followed by Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, U-Turn, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and the critically acclaimed biopic Srikanth (2024) alongside Rajkummar Rao.
