Born Aalia Furniturewala on 28 November 1997 in Los Angeles to actress Pooja Bedi and businessman Farhan Furniturewala, Alaya is the granddaughter of Kabir Bedi and Protima Bedi. She trained in acting at the New York Film Academy and is also skilled in dance and fitness.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2020 with the comedy-drama Jawaani Jaaneman, playing Tia opposite Saif Ali Khan. The performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She followed it with a compelling turn in the thriller Freddy (2022) opposite Kartik Aaryan, dual roles in Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (2023), the lead in the supernatural remake U-Turn (2023), and supporting roles in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and the biopic Srikanth (both 2024).
Her ongoing projects include the Amazon Prime series Storm (with Hrithik Roshan as producer) and other unannounced films currently in development. With a growing reputation for choosing varied roles, Alaya F continues to establish herself as a versatile and stylish presence in Hindi cinema.
