Aakanksha Singh Radiates Sunshine

Actor Aakanksha Singh recently shared a beautiful picture on Instagram that has been winning hearts. In the photo, she is seen wearing a simple white saree with a bright yellow floral design, paired with a matching yellow blouse.

The actor who made a mark in Telugu cinema with Malli Raava (2017) is now returning to the big screen with Shashtipoorthi. In an interview with Cinema Express, Aakanksha shared that this film is special to her as it marks her comeback to Telugu films after a long gap. She plays a village treasurer named Janaki a strong, educated woman with a traditional heart. She revealed that shooting for the movie was quite challenging, especially due to the hot weather in Godavari. The team had to travel by boat and walk long distances daily, but Aakanksha said she loved every part of the experience.

Speaking about her choice of roles, Aakanksha mentioned, “I want to do stories where I have something meaningful to perform. Even if I get just one strong scene, that is enough for me. I want people to remember me as a performer.”

Recently, she also spoke about the reactions she received after Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. Aakanksha played the role of Aratrika Bhowmick and received both appreciation and criticism. She revealed that some people even called her a “gaddaar” (traitor) for her character’s actions in the show. But she took it positively, saying it only proves that the audience truly connected with her performance.
