Born on July 26, 1988, in Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Akanksha began as a model and former cabin crew member before stepping into acting. She made her film debut in 2013 with the Tamil action-comedy Alex Pandian. She expanded her range with Malayalam films like Praise the Lord (2014), Kannada’s Lodde (2015), and her Hindi debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls (2015). She also appeared in Tamil’s Action (2019) and the Malayalam sequel Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander.

Known for her role as Goddess Parvati in the TV series Vighnaharta Ganesha, Akanksha has built a versatile career across South Indian cinema, Hindi films, web series, and reality shows like Bigg Boss OTT.

In 2025–2026, she continues to stay active with projects including So Long Valley (Hindi), Bhojpuri films like Agni Pariksha, and several web series. She also shines on the fashion circuit, walking ramps and releasing music collaborations.
