Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Akanksha began as a model and former air hostess before entering films. Her acting debut came in the 2013 Tamil action-comedy Alex Pandian. She made her Hindi film debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls (2015) as Nandita Menon and appeared in Malayalam and Kannada projects like Praise the Lord and Lodde.

She gained widespread popularity portraying Goddess Parvati in the long-running TV series Vighnaharta Ganesh. Later credits include the Tamil film Action (2019), web series such as Inspector Avinash, Dons & Darlings, and Rose Garden, plus the 2025 Hindi thriller So Long Valley and Bhojpuri film Rishtey. With ongoing digital and film projects, she continues to balance glamour, travel, and versatile performances.
