Behind the glamour, Payal Rajput has also been using her platform to speak honestly about the struggles faced by self-made artists in the film industry. On April 1, 2025, she posted a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter), opening up about the reality of nepotism and favoritism in cinema. She mentioned that being an actor without a famous background is never easy and that every day starts with uncertainty. Payal shared that sometimes, talent takes a backseat while connections and family names decide opportunities. Her words resonated with many fans and fellow artists who admired her courage to address these issues openly.

Despite the challenges, Payal continues to shine professionally. Her recent movie, Rakshana (Telugu, 2024), was released on June 7, 2024. In this film, she played the strong role of ACP Kiran, a police officer investigating the mysterious death of her friend, which she suspects to be murder. The role allowed Payal to display her intense and emotional side, winning praise for her powerful screen presence. Before its release, there were reports of disagreements with the producers regarding payments and promotions, but the issues were later resolved smoothly.

Payal also had a remarkable performance in Mangalavaaram, directed by Ajay Bhupathi. The film, released on November 17, 2023, across five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi — marked an important milestone in her career.

Looking ahead, Payal Rajput has some exciting projects lined up. One of her upcoming films, VenkataLachimi, is a pan-India movie directed by Muni. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. The story is centered on a female lead, promising a strong and emotional role for Payal. Another major project is with Legend Saravanan, directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar.
