Aamna Sharif Looks Like a Dream in White During Her Rome Getaway

Aamna Sharif recently shared a picture on Instagram through her profile aamnasharifofficial. In the photo, Aamna stands in front of an old wooden door in Rome, dressed in a short white dress with soft ruffles, holding a light pink bag. She added a simple caption to her post: “Once upon a time in Rome”

Aamna was born in Mumbai to an Indian father and a Persian-Bahraini mother. She grew up in a conservative Muslim family and lost her father early. With just her mother by her side, Aamna dreamed of becoming an actor, but her family background made it very difficult. In interviews, she shared that no one from her family believed acting was a possible path for her. She worked at a boutique to support her studies and pushed aside her dreams for some time.

Life changed when she received an offer for an advertisement while still in college. She convinced her mother for six months to allow her to try acting. Her mother finally supported her, even though the extended family stopped speaking to them for almost two years. Aamna slowly stepped into modeling, advertisements, and music videos by artists like Kumar Sanu, Falguni Pathak, and Daler Mehndi. These early steps brought her to the attention of Ekta Kapoor.

This is how Aamna entered television and became a household name as Kashish in the iconic show Kahiin To Hoga. Her chemistry with Rajeev Khandelwal made her one of TV’s most loved faces. After the show ended, she tried working in Bollywood with films like Aloo Chaat, Aao Wish Karein, and Shakal Pe Mat Ja, but the movies did not perform well.

Aamna later stepped away from the spotlight to get married to film producer Amit Kapoor in 2013. The couple welcomed their son Arain in 2015. They celebrate traditions from both Hindu and Muslim cultures, reflecting a warm inter-faith bond.

After nearly six years, Aamna returned to acting with Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, where she played Komolika. She also acted in web series like Damaged 3 and Aadha Ishq.
